The rooms were adequate, although ours was rather small. The meals were anything but small. Breakfasts were very good. The dinners were excellent, but included too far much food even for hikers.
There four courses to a meal, and the main course was enormous We would suggest having a light lunch. Date of stay: May Value. Room Tip: Try to get one of the larger rooms.

Outlooks vary from room to room, Bath was a little bit narrow and a sloping ceiling above where one stands for a shower was a little bit low.
There was comfortable seating in the room. The hotel serves a very good breakfast in a lovely dining room on the ground floor.
Staff very helpful and willing to please. The position of the hotel is only a few steps from the railway station and looks straight down the main street of the town.
It is a pleasure to hear that you had a good stay with us and indeed, that the staff as well as the hotel in general and its location was as you expected.

As for the bathrooms, some of these are with a sloping ceiling. This is something that we are eager to change in the future, are however somewhat limited by the structure of the building and its Heritage rating and thus limitations of change to the in as well as outside.
As you can imagine, a building that finds its origin in the early s, it is somewhat difficult to do renovations, extensions and the likes in a tasteful and most importantly "legal" way.
