Might actually have played better without the heavy-handed, preachy racial angle. This is not "parody" or satire -- we don't see that at work here as a contradiction at all.
The film is clearly directed at a young audience -- kids for whom routine violations of the 4th Amendment and pat-downs tantamount to sexual assault have become a "normalized" part of air travel.
It makes me wonder whether the sole purpose of the throw-away story was to deliver this particular piece of propaganda in a way that would by-pass your conscious mind being occupied with the superficial story and embed itself in your unfiltering sub-conscious.

This film was ok. It is definitely NOT a horror and I don't know where that idea comes from. It isn't even thrilling to me,but it was ok.
From nearly the beginning it became a little obvious what was happening. Seems like I am in a minority in my not liking but good job really that we are not all the same in our likes and dislikes,.
Shocking, that a piece of deliberate anti white propaganda was ever given the chance to be made, worse still that this terrible film was even viewed and given any reviews above one star.
Apart from the deliberate anti white racist content, the storyline was ridiculous, some of the acting was very cardboard, so predictable.
Let's hope this guy Jordan Peele is not given the chance to write, produce and direct this sort of extreme propaganda and drivel in the future.

Overrated, overhyped, over praised. The story is just stupid and far fetched, with little to no explanation making it hard to believe. It was boring, tedious, and ridiculous.
It used pseudoscience fiction to create more mistrust and division. All I can say is civil rights meets The Stepford Wives in a very unexpected way.
I loved the lead character, Chris. Additionally, Katherine Keenan picks very interesting roles. I should have realized what was coming when I realized she was in the film.
I was uncomfortable during the whole movie because of the inability of the white characters to speak to Chris as a man rather than a black man and treat him like a human being rather than a black human being.
I didn't expect to like this movie or be surprised by it, but I really liked it and was pleasantly surprised. There's enough humor to off-set the "horror" and the actors are great.
The main character's TSA agent friend is an amazing touch - I can't imagine this movie without him. There's an optional ending, but I didn't watch it.
I liked the original ending too much. Some people are avoiding "Get Out" because it's a "horror" movie, but it's worth seeing just because horror movies don't generally rate oscar nominations.
What could have been a movie based racist stereotypes turns into so much more than that yet still still delivers uncomfortable truths.
