But then again, the guy knows a bit about filmmaking, so this movie is pretty solid and has a very good cast, not only Mr. While it seems uncertain and not tonally correct at times, has a few script flaws here and there, it does flow quite nicely if you let it and you're not interrupting it with questions that is.
The story is kinda nice, the ending more or less predictable. Some nice scenes of gore and suspense. I guess if you don't have high expectation, it's the best way to watch the movie.

The author handles it fairly well as far as harkening to that background, but it's much better read in order. In the first book of the series we were introduced to Jenny, Sean, Jack, and Jessabelle four teenagers caught in the middle of a battle for two worlds Strong 4.
In the first book of the series we were introduced to Jenny, Sean, Jack, and Jessabelle four teenagers caught in the middle of a battle for two worlds against forces much bigger than they are.
In Blood Creek Beast we narrow the focus and come firmly into the next part of the story through the eyes of Jack and Jessabelle.
They're on opposite sides of the portal between our world and 'Round the Bend and have stories running in parallel. I find that the tighter focus on two character voices works better for me.
I feel drawn much more deeply into this book even though I very much enjoyed the first one. The differences between the storylines and the two worlds allows the author to play with tropes of Fantasy and Contemporary Fantasy in a way that's both fun and satisfying.
Jack is still my favorite character, though I liked finally really getting into Jessabelle's head in a way we didn't get to before.
We get some very strong side characters in this volume and a nice broadening of the world Round the Bend and a deeper glimpse into what's happening in the shadows of our own world.
The ending comes too soon and it's not exactly a cliffhanger, but it does leave me hungry for the next book. Trouble isn't just coming at this point.
